Here is Hex and Frex all finished and ready to go. I used the Valdani pearl cotton tweed, which I showed in my last post, for the cats bodies. I love the way Valdani achieves such striking, yet subtle, visual texture.
Here is the same piece ~ unfinished ~ after soaking in a coffee bath, resting and drying in the beautifully warm West Michigan sunshine.
I’ve started making some smaller, more cost-friendly pieces to sell on etsy and Primitive Handmades Mercantile. Sheep, cats, houses… there are so many simple, primitive shapes to explore!
What are you creating today?
wishing you a quiet adventure!
A catless writer is almost inconceivable. It’s a perverse taste, really, since it would be easier to write with a herd of buffalo in the room than even one cat; they make nests in the notes and bite the end of the pen and walk on the typewriter keys. ~Barbara Holland
