This is what I’ve accomplished today.  I’m hoping to add a bit of red to the eyes and mouth to be true to the original rug, and, does the background look green to you?  In reality, there isn’t any green in the background, but I always have trouble photographing rugs… How about you?  Any secrets for getting your colors to look spot on in a picture?

I hope you are able to enjoy something simple tonight ~ a cup of tea always warms the soul…

think happy thoughts!

  1. Rebecca, You’ve done so much today! Have you ever tried Picmonkey to edit your photos? It’s free online and VERY easy to use. Just upload your photos and then you can play with the colors. I use this for my baskets – it’s hard to get good photos of their colors as well. This helps me convey the true colors to my online customers. ~Ann

  2. Rebecca ~
I almost never get the true color of a rug and many hookers who blog complain of the same thing. I, too, will have to look in to Picmonkey (if I can find the time!). Your rug is looking wonderful! That’s a lot of hooking for one day.
    Pug hugs 🙂

  3. The start on your new rug is lovely, can’t wait to see it finished.

  4. Rebecca, I found your blog through Lori at Home Spun Prims. You have a beautiful blog and your work is lovely! I am a mainly a doll maker and weaver but I have done a couple of rug hooking pieces. I love wool fabric! You are inspiring me to start hooking again. Louise
