Hello world!

This is a journal about the quest for quiet simplicity in my work and everyday life.  Here am I, tucked in a corner of beautiful West Michigan.

Lake Michigan is a quick bike ride from my door, I have the tools of my trade ready at hand and good friends who share my adventure.

I am blessed, indeed!  What more could one possibly ask for…..  well, maybe more wool!

Will you join in my journey and find some simple quiet, too?

I’m so glad you are with me, friend!

  1. Rebecca, so glad I found your blog. I am a wool appliquer not a hooker, but love to dye my own wool. A beginner for sure. Half the time, I really don’t know what I am doing or why but love the end results. Duplicate it again, not! Would love to spend the day with you but, alas, we live too far away. I’m signing up to recieve you via email so I won’t miss anything. Could you tell me where you purchased those tags?

    • Hello Marie! I’m so happy you found your way here! I admire appliquers to no end ~ all that careful cutting and patient stitching = such beautiful, creative things! I would love to see what you come up with 🙂

The tags are from Staples or Office Depot, which I coffee stained and stamped. It’s a very simple process…. oh! What a good idea for a post. Thank you for your inspiration!

  2. Hi, and welcome to blogging. Just wondering where about in Mi. you are located. I’m up near Gaylord. Glad to find another Michigander. Great products.
